"I felt very safe and happy"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Lothian Birth Centre

(as the patient),

I was called into the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary recently to be induced with my second child. I arrived at 5am and was given my own room. The staff were very accommodating and listened to how I wanted to labour. I was given an epidural before I was placed on the hormone drip. My labour progressed and within 12 hours I had given birth to my daughter. I felt very safe and happy with how everything happened. A doctor gave me stitches and was talking me through how to keep them clean so they didn't get infected.

Dear antliawq53

Thank you for taking the time to send in this lovely feedback. It is really lovely to hear of the care that you have received and how this made you feel safe during your induction. I will share your feedback with the team here at RIE. Congratulations on the birth of your daughter I hope you are both doing well.

Best wishes
