After my pre-assessment visit I checked into the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy S.E.A.L. unit. I could not have had better treatment from all staff members who did everything in their power to put me at ease.
By lunchtime I had had my right kidney removed and was admitted to ward 54 in the urology department. Again, all staff were incredibly devoted to their patients and very empathetic towards my aches and pains. I could not have had better care in the private medical sector, something I have had previous experience of, and would willingly return to the Victoria for any further medical issues.
There was always a smile and a bit of good humoured banter when I was on the mend. I don't think some people realise just how lucky we are to have the NHS. but I for one am full of praise for the hard work and devotion of all the staff of the Victoria. Thank you everyone.
