"My treatment at Daisy Hill, Newry"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Daisy Hill Hospital / Pharmacy

(as a service user),

I was admitted to A&E at Daisy Hill with suspected Sepsis. After a long wait due to the immense pressure the department was under that day I have to say that the treatment I received was excellent and the staff were all very kind and made me feel at ease. Special mention goes to Andrew, the pharmacist. He explained in detail the results of my blood tests, showing me not only the medication he was prescribing for the infection, but also highlighting other areas of concern such as my liver function and bringing some home truths in a kind and non judgemental way. A great ambassador for the trust. Well done all, doing a great job in extremely difficult circumstances.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Care Opinion. I hope you are recovering. I have shared your post with Andrew. It is lovely to hear of the positive impact the staff in the Emergency Department and Andrew had on your care.

Thank you.

Kind regards.
