Treatment
I have had issues with acne for a very long time, and it had completely ruined my self esteem and was making me miserable. I was wearing make up every day to cover up my issues.
I was referred to Dermatology and once I was in the service the team done everything they could to help me. Susan, the nurse within Dermatology, has went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and getting the correct treatment.
I am beyond grateful for Susan and the team, who have consistently went above and beyond the call of duty. My acne is now cleared up, with a maintenance routine sorted out, and I feel so much better! Susan took into consideration my mental health and made sure I had extra creams/ointments to combat the strong side effects of the medication I was on, and she was always available if I had a question.
Especially with the pressure all hospitals are under following covid, to experience such high quality care and compassion was refreshing!
My self-esteem has improved considerably, I don't feel I have to wear make up anymore to cover or hide my skin. I feel a new lease of life, and it is all because the Dermatology team took my concerns and issues seriously and ensured that I was treated safely and with consideration.
I can't thank Susan and the team enough - you are all amazing!
