"I was told there was nothing wrong"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency Royal Alexandra Hospital / Pain Management- RAH

(as a service user),

I have a catheter in. The pain I was suffering was intense every time the district nurse changed the tube, the pain was intense too much. I did visit the RAH once before and it was changed without any pain.

This time I made a visit to the emergency end of March. I waited all morning eventually seeing a doctor. After checking my blood. I was told there was nothing wrong with my blood. Therefore they could do nothing for me?

After waiting around all morning I left the exact way I went in no treatment not even a pill to ease the pain. I have never been told by a doctor they could do nothing for me. I was and still am incredulous at this doctors attitude.

Dear Rabbib134

Thank you sharing your experience on Care Opinion. The presentation you describe is an area whereby your General Practice is in a better position to address, as opposed to the Emergency Department.

I apologise that this was not better explained when you attended.

Gerry
