"Paediatrics/Children's Ward"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Children's Ward Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

On Easter sunday (of all days! 😅)  my young child had trouble breathing at the evening following a cough. We had to head to A&E as nothing else was open.  I can't praise the team enough! They were so kind and patient with my son, and made sure he was comfortable. I wish I could mention them all by name but I have a terrible memory and only remeber some 🤦🏻‍♀️

To the entire team that was working at the Children's Ward at FVRH (including the porters and Xray techs), I just wanted to say a huge thank you for being so kind to us throughout our overnight stay!

Thanks also to the A&E team of nurses and doctors who were equally so nice and helpful! ❤️

Dear Krystle

Thank you for taking the time to share this lovely feedback with us about your time in our Emergency Department and Children's Ward.

It can be so worrying when your child becomes unwell and they require to come into hospital. I am delighted to hear you felt supported in all areas.

I will ensure this feedback is shared with the relevant teams, it will give them a real boost.

I hope your son is continuing to get better and you all managed to have a nice Easter despite the unplanned admission to the Children's Ward.

Kind regards

Karen Macfarlane

Department Manager for Paediatrics & Neonates, NHS Forth Valley.
