"Getting help for sleep"

About: Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as a service user),

I was having trouble sleeping due to a large amount of stress and yet my GP advised me and did not prescribe sleep medication. My GP recommended to go on anti-depression medication which would also help sleep.

Having seen my mother go through so many adverse side effects of being on long term anti-depression medication, I was highly reluctant to go on medication.

My GP referred me to Inclusion Thurrock for sleep CBT therapy.

Inclusion Thurrock were able to provide the service in a few weeks and also put me through the online course that prepared me to maximise the therapy benefits.

The sleep CBT counselling was absolutely brilliant and I got the full benefit of it. I also got access to a app that could help me in keeping a track and improving my sleep health.

i must say inclusion thurrock was a life saver and a life changer .

I am so glad to hear that you were referred to us by your GP and that you reached out for support which is amazing.

Often when we are feeling stressed, this can have a huge impact on our quality of sleep and we can experience difficulties sleeping. It is great to hear that you found the online course helpful which prepared you for starting therapy and ensured that you are maximising the benefits of therapy as you mentioned.

It sounds like you have put in a lot of hard work to get to where you are now and I am so pleased to hear that sleep CBT therapy worked for you and that you have been provided with resources to help you in the future.
