We were sent to Ed by nhs 111. We arrived and waited for over 3 hours to be seen by a Dr who basically said that my daughter wasn't poorly enough to be treated by him and sent us to utc.
After arriving there and waited to be seen again and a second attempt at taking blood they sent us back to Ed because they needed bloods. So we went back waited again. Eventually we were seen by a registrar who made a further 2 attempts to get blood and finally got a small amount but not enough for all test. We then were sent back to utc to wait for the results
Further waiting. The blood test results came back. Discharged and told a prescription for steroid tablets and cream were waiting at pharmacy. Collected medicines but no cream. Told by the pharmacy to go and buy it from a local chemist. Overall we were in the hospital 7 hours.
We feel that we were unfairly passed about and my daughter was in pain and scared of what was happening to her. It left us feeling very frustrated.
"It left us feeling frustrated"
