I was shown to a cubicle that had seemingly not been cleaned.
Cubicle had chair with a blue cushion. I noticed that there was drip mark down the front so I lifted the blue cushion and there was a pool of what looked like vomit under the cushion.
I reported to nurse who found a cleaner. They placed the cushion in corridor and wiped seat with a cloth they had in their hand then said they would come back and do a better clean.
2 hours later I asked nurse if cleaner was coming back as it was still dirty, I had to sit on plastic chair whilst this was ongoing.
2 x cleaners returned and gave the seat another wipe. 1 did the chair and the other picked up cushion that had been left to fester in the corridor and wiped it down.
At no time did I see either rinse or clean their cloths during cleaning.
Being a cancer patient and currently on chemo made me worry of infection from an unclean cubicle. I felt very vulnerable.
To add to my suspicion of cubicles not being cleaned between patients, I witnessed 2 cubicles in front of me having patients moved and NOT cleaned before next patient was placed in cubicle.
