"Care was superb"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency Victoria Hospital / Admissions Unit 1 (Emergency Medical) Victoria Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

Atrial  flutter  returned 6 years after laser ablation. Apart from being very frustrated, heart was racing,  felt  sick, had headache & was generally jittery. Admitted  via 999 to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy A&E.

Excellent  response time from  999 call centre & first class care by Tommy  & Ali, the paramedic team. Ambulance  stacked for 1 hour from approximately  9pm before I was admitted to A&E. 7 hours later, I  was advised I was going  to be admitted  to Admissions Unit 1. There all day & night, during  which time I had telemetry attached to me, before  being admitted to Cardiology ward 23 at 0800 hours.

Care in the ward was superb, from cleaners to advanced nurse practitioner ( thanks, Una, you went above & beyond & not just about my cardiac issue ) & everyone in between, both day & night. You have a brilliant team, Steph. Doctors approachable, also.
