Sister just diagnosed with high blood pressure

I checked my own at home & it was very high.

Popped into the doctor's to get an appointment with the nurse to have it checked

Asked at the desk, said it was to get my blood pressure checked as it test high ar home

Was sent to a machine at vack of surgery

BP came out 177/96

Went back to desk with printout in my hand - asked again for a nurses appointment

Was told I'd have to go to the pharmacist, get them to take my blood pressure & they'd refer me

Got to pharmacists, but because it was 15 minutes before closing, they wouldn't do the test - come back tomorrow

That blood pressure reading was dangerously high, but apparently it's OK for me to die of a massive stroke jumping through red tape, rather than just give me a sodding appointment & get me on meds asap
