The Pre Op information and appointments were excellent, and we were treated at all times with friendliness and professionalism. The whole experience from start to finish was very good..The nurses who admitted my husband were very thorough, and reassuring. The surgeon and anaesthetist saw him before he went to theatre. He was carefully monitored throughout, and in recovery. The anaesthetist detected an irregularity in his heart, and referred him to a cardiologist, for further investigations. The post op care was amazing and the physiotherapist was lovely, and very encouraging. On discharge he was given an adequate supply of analgesics, and his routine heart drugs, contact telephone numbers etc`.He had 2 home visits, which were reassuring,as the nurses checked on his progress. As we are both retired nurses ourselves,we were impressed with the standard of care he received.Nurses make bad patients but we couldn't fault the care he was given. Well done to all concerned.
