"Awful practice"

My grandad is disabled and struggles to move his legs. Upon confirmation of his appointment we were told that his needs would be accommodated and he was reassured he wouldn’t have to move around a lot during his appointment. When we arrived at the clinic for his appointment the woman on reception ignored us for around 3 minutes, leaving my Grandad stood waiting as she finished writing an email and drinking her cup of tea. When we said why we were there, she said “okay just go to the waiting room”. My Grandad was clearly struggling and we were offered no assistance. We then went into a consultation room and the nurse that saw to us had zero people skills. She didn’t great either of us and requested my Grandad to sit in numerous chairs in the very small room, which he was clearly struggling with. She then placed a patch over my Grandad’s eye despite being asked to wait for a minute. My Grandad very politely said “please can you just wait one minute” but she continued to mess around with him, much to his discomfort. As it took my Grandad a little while to manoeuvre himself the nurse sighed and folded her arms, as if it was a great inconvenience. My Grandad apologised because he could sense her frustration however she did not respond to his apology and instead walked out of the consultation room and left us to see ourselves out. The doctor who we then saw in another consultation room had quite a similar demeanour and would often interrupt my Grandad and talk through him to me. We are not easily offended, however I feel I am in a position to advocate for my Grandad and I was shocked by the level of care he received during his time at CHEC. I understand the nurses and doctors work tirelessly and I hugely appreciate the work they all do, however I must say the way my Grandad was treated today was disgusting. He is now upset, uncomfortable, confused and embarrassed.
