"I feel their excellent nursing care made a huge difference"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Cardiac surgery

(as the patient),

I would like to compliment the amazing work that the staff in ward 5a RVH do. In particular staff nurse hazel and staff nurse Ruth. 

During my recent stay in the ward their kindness and compassion showed to myself and my wife was above and beyond. Hazel spent a lot of time answering our questions, reassuring us on how I could have a safe recovery at home following surgery. 

During a vulnerable time for me I feel their excellent nursing care made a huge difference to my stay in hospital.

I am so glad that you are recovering well and also that you experienced excellent nursing care whilst a Patient on the Cardiothoracic Ward (Ward 5A RVH).

We appreciate how vulnerable patients can be during their stay in hospital and we always endeavour to make their stay as comfortable and as pleasant as we possibly can.

We strive to provide excellent levels of patient care and we are delighted that both you and your wife experienced great kindness and compassion.

We are also very pleased that the staff were able to answer questions which helped to reassure you on your recovery journey at home.

I will extend your appreciation to both Hazel and Ruth and also to the Ward Manager, whom I know will all be delighted with your feedback.
