I recently had to stay within the short stay (2F) to which it was not a very enjoyable patient experience for me.
The medical staff in particular consultant staff very unapproachable, lacks compassion, poor at communication especially when various teams involved with care. They are very much versed on bed capacity, short stay and driven for discharges. Furthermore at times I was made to feel stupid or belittled when asking a serious of questions about my health and well-being.
However to finish on one positive the Nursing staff are lovely, approachable and attentive even under the horrible conditions and disrespectful behaviour they face 24/7.
