In all honesty I have not been happy with the procedure my mother had at Good Hope to replace a pacemaker - she has had a number of complications since it was fitted - and at the actual fitting lost a lot of blood and subsequently fainted at home - This was concerning as she had a pacemaker fitted for over 10 years - fitted at Solihull hospital and had no such problems - Arriving early for an 08.20 appointment there was some confusion with timing - this was dealt with very quicky and Mom was then seen and had a very thorough appointment.
She was given clear, detailed and assuring support provided by the cardiology team yesterday - I would say it was second to none. Most of my mothers fears were heard and responded to - following the process - she felt very faint and I had to hold her up before she fell to the floor - I called for help and was given help immediately including help from the wider cardiology team - who came with a wheel chair and re-checked her blood pressure and pace maker etc and all was as fine as it could be - after something to eat and drink whilst still on site - Mom began to feel a lot better - so just wanted to say well-done to the team members we saw today and in particular to the cariology specialist who we had the original appointment with. Well-done all
