"Excellent physio aftercare received for knee…"

Following my knee replacement I attended the knee clinic in the physio department for four weeks post op. It was invaluable to my recovery. Each week with a small group of other patients we went into the gym and faced a circuit of timed exercises . As I completed each task I was given individualise advice based on my ability and range of movement. Each task was explained clearly so I understood the benefit

of the exercise. The two observing physios gave feedback and individualised each activity to make it more challenging if required.The positive feedback meant I knew I had completed the task correctly. This gave me the confidence to do some of them at home. My progress was really enhanced by attending these sessions. I would recommend the sessions to anyone who is offered a place to get this expert guidance and feedback. The team are friendly and welcoming, you can share progress, helpful tips and they stretch and challenge where needed too, so you realise you can do more than you think you are capable of! Thank you to the team who helped me during this recovery period. I am very grateful and 7 weeks on I am so pleased to have made such progress .
