"Plastics - minor surgery"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns (wards 45, 47, 48 & 49)

(as a service user),

Big shout out to the staff in plastics trauma theatres / recovery.  I found myself there last week for minor surgery after my finger lost a fight with the car door.  I was extremely well looked after throughout and even kept well fed and watered while waiting for the procedure.  Every member of staff was very friendly, helpful and introduced themselves.  Everything was explained to me in detail including the follow-up plans.  I am a nurse myself and appreciate the pressures everyone is under so I'm incredibly grateful for the excellent care I received ❤️ x
