About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Trauma and Orthopaedics Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service

(as a parent/guardian),

Scottish Blood Transfusion Service, Edinburgh.

My son required over 20 units of blood and platelets following a hip replacement . It saved his life .

We will be forever grateful for this service , those who work there and every donor who selflessly donates blood products . Thank you

Dear Mendmesh,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story and my apologies it has taken time for us to respond. I was so touch to read your story and hear about the life saving treatment your son received. I imagine it was a really scary and challenging time for you as a family. I hope your son has gone to make a full recovery.
