"Very loving and supportive"

About: Maternity care (Ward 31) / Maternity care (Ward 31)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to royal maternity ward with leg numbness and generally feeling extremely unwell and not been able to function

My doctor wanted me to go up to triage as she was extremely concerned that the symptoms and what l was feeling was not pregnancy related and wanted to get it checked out

As soon as an arrived l was seen right away and tests done . I was admitted to a ward 31b. The midwives where amazing but two particular had a lasting impression they had that extra special connection with there patients that’s needed. Day shift Claire. And Rosa Night shift.

Claire was very compassionate and had caring motherly  attitude but had the ability to deal with people on different levels. Claire had that extra special energy and traits that isn’t easy to come by in a person lifted you up when needed but also straight to the point. She displayed great leadership and listening skills. Rosa was the night midwife, very loving and supportive, would compliment you an take your mind off the bigger picture.

I was so relaxed and when I asked them something they were efficient and got things sorted asap, whether it be with doctors or general questions. Brilliant knowledge and advice.

Thanks again Teekerr11 for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback for our staff via Care Opinion. Claire and Rosa will be delighted to hear that they has made a difference in your care journey and stay with us on the ward. Such lovely comments that they will be able to use in their portfolio so it is very much appreciated.

I will also share this with the medical team who looked after you.

Kindest Regards,

Laura Flynn

Interim Lead Midwife Clyde
