"Help I really required"

I have been drinking heavily since the age of 18 which has affected my life in many ways.  This resulted in a failed marriage and no access to my children. I also had numerous failed suicide attempts. I eventually sought help after hospitalization with CGL . 

After engaging with CGL within 6 months i was referred and accepted to the Dame Carol Detox centre, for help i really required.

Initially I felt uneasy - now it's a second home, my goals are clearer, I feel happier and committed to my recovery. I found the group support activities excellent and the facilities were warm and comfortable. I met people I intend to keep in touch with.
