"Professional and caring"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Neonatal Unit

(as a service user),

After a very traumatic birth and lack of care from the maternity ward, it was refreshing to see how professional and caring the girls in the Neonatal Unit were.

Especially Grace, the care she gave to our daughter and also to me (which was not her job to do) was the only good thing in an overall poor experience.

Katrina was also lovely and helped to care for our daughter who was born term but low birth weight and with low blood sugar.

We spent 6 days in neonatal, which is not a lot for most but it was still a very traumatic time for me as a first time mum, and I received more support and care here than I did in the actual maternity ward.

Good morning camelopardaliscq38

Thank you for acknowledging the care and support you as a family, received from the neonatal team whilst your baby was with us. We hope your daughter continues to grow and thrive at home.

We appreciate you taking time to share your feedback and I will ensure staff are made aware.

Regards

Una Toland
