Following heart attack treatment I was referred to the Cardiac Rehab Unit for a fitness assessment followed by a 12 week exercise programme with a final follow up fitness test.
I couldn’t have asked for better assistance from this class!
The staff were very encouraging and with a nurse in regular attendance any medical queries could be discussed quickly and discreetly.
My confidence to become active again was given a great boost after being unsure about what I could and couldn’t do.
The class also provides a valuable learning environment for medical students from several disciplines, giving them a chance to interact with recovering patients in an active situation with valuable guidance from experienced mentors.
