"Staffing"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Gastroenterology

(as a service user),

I have been admitted to ward 8 at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for years now and every time my care has been outstanding. However this admission I unfortunately noticed how understaffed the ward is and although my care has been second to none, you do see the staff struggling. The auxiliaries were understaffed every single shift, and nightshift nurses always seemed to have bank/agency staff which I’m sure they do an essential job, but being a patient you appreciate familiar faces and those who know your care.

I’d personally like to thank those involved in my day to day care - Ruth, Melissa, Ann Marie, Emma, Kate, May, Robyn, Susan, Aoife, Cat.

Dear Novembernx66

Thank you for your kind comments regarding the staff in Ward 8 at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, especially, Ruth, Melissa, Ann Marie, Emma, Emma, Kate, May, Robyn, Susan, Aoife, Cat. It is always good when the staff’s hard work is recognised by their patients.

I will pass on your feedback regarding the staffing levels to the Senior Management Team..

I hope that you are feeling better.

Take Care

Nicole
