Silver birch ward member of staff Ali showed professionalism, compassion and empathy to the family of a patient on the ward. She was always friendly and approachable when a small minority of others were not.

My role is to encourage and help staff to capture, respond and act upon feedback, to work together with patients and carers to improve services and to raise awareness of volunteering and its benefits within the trust.

I am sorry to hear that your experience was the a few staff were unapproachable but it is great to hear that you had a wonderful experience with Ali and I wanted you to know that we have shared this feedback with the ward manager so that they are aware and so that they can share this feedback with their team and to share your lovely comments with Ali.
