Horrendous pain and following NHS24 Call, passed to Ambulance service: daughter woke up at 1.40am with paramedics in the house and (single) mum having ECG. Child very anxious - paramedics took time to reassure her and explain what was happening with mum. Excellent. ❤️
Arrived at A&E, triaged and nurses were efficient, respectful, listened & calm. Again Excellent.❤️
Discharged within 4 hours, reassured, follow up with GP, lifestyle changes but no pain meds nor advice from the Doctor about what to do if it happened again, or likelihood of it happening again. That was ok, but to improve - they should have given me something.
Fast forward five days - exact same thing happens again. This time, my son brings me to A&E on advice from NHS 24. Arrive, triaged and nurses efficient, caring, respectful, listened, calm and overall awesome. Consistent and excellent ❤️❤️
Doctor, despite the business of A&E on Friday morning, gets my pain under control. Excellent ❤️❤️
ANP sees me, listens, respectful, non judgmental, compassionate, interested, shared his thought process and plan. All imperative for a good therapeutic relationship and positive outcomes. He examined me, chased up bloods, and did exactly as he said he would do, which again, added to my appreciation of him caring for me. Excellent ❤️❤️
Then Surgical Reg saw me, and he was efficient, compassionate; logical, and gave me a plan. Excellent ❤️❤️
Home with medication to get me through weekend, a plan to return to Hot Clinic on Monday and I am in awe of the work and consistent care I received both times from a pressurised NHS.
