"The sessions were very helpful"

About: Fife Community Services / Community Cardiac Specialist Service

(as a service user),

After having had a triple heart bypass I was referred to the Community Cardiac Rehabilitation Service in Fife.

Initially I had a series of appointments with Lynne, Cardiac Rehab Nurse. She was extremely helpful in providing all the support and information I needed in the first few months after my surgery. keeping in contact with both me GP and consultant throughout.

Once I was ready she referred me to attend rehab fitness sessions in Glenrothes run by a team led by Rosie, physiotherapy practitioner.

The sessions were very helpful and helped me regain not only fitness but, just as importantly, confidence.

The team were very professional, friendly and helpful, not just with me but with everyone else who attended.

After the sessions I feel much better about progressing after my operation.

Dear step43,

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with our service. I am glad Lynne helped and you got that last bit of confidence you needed with our exercise programme led by Rosie.

I will pass this onto Lynne, Rosie and the rest of the team

All the best,

Anne McEwan

Team Leader
