"We are eternally grateful for the wonderful work you do"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Maternity care Western Health & Social Care Trust / Community Midwifery Services

(as a service user),

When I gave birth to our baby boy, the midwives in Omagh dealt with my care throughout, at 38 weeks Ivana recognised me to be symptomatic with preeclampsia and requested I go to SWAH. I am so grateful she sent me on to be checked out.

Everyone in Omagh took such good care of us and have since birth also!

I was induced and our baby was born very swiftly within 5.5 hours of my waters being broken. Birth is never easy but I cannot fault my experience at all. Ward Sister Tracey, Midwives Geraldine and Ann and student midwives Jodi and Erin all helped me ensure safe arrival of our son.

Without medical intervention he would not be here, these women literally force life back into little bodies! We are eternally grateful for the wonderful work you do - thank you!!

Good Evening Weedee27,

Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy and thank you for taking the time to share your lovely comments regarding your care.

I am delighted that you felt so well supported throughout each stage of your pregnancy journey. It is always nice for staff to hear that the care we provide has been so well received and I will ensure to share this with the Omagh Community Midwives and the wider Maternity team.

I would like to take this opportunity to send my very best wishes to you and your family.

Kind Regards

Ali Ferguson
