"I am drug free after many years thanks to my key worker."

About: HMP Stocken / Substance Misuse Service

(as a service user),

I have been a drug user since my teens! I am now in my 30s, using cocaine, crack, cannabis, spice with terrible consequences causing harm to others, myself and my family!

Only ever used drug services in prison which at times have helped a little! All the methods and skills I know but to be honest I couldn't put them in to practice with success!

I've worked with a lot of the staff from drug services some great some not so much, but regardless kept trying!

More recently I was assigned a worker from Inclusion and her name is Siabha which I know is spelt wrong sorry!

All I can say is: I am drug free and without her support would still be a drug user. She shown me respect even when I was at my worse and never put me down!

She checks up on me and is always polite with lots of information so I have gained my self respect back and health and relationships and my future plans are to be involved in the vital service drugs teams as a whole provide in a sense of helping others and spreading the word!

Thanks Siabha for your help, I am so grateful to inclusion for employing the staff that make a difference to everyone who needs it!

Thank you so much for taking the time to post such a wonderful story about your experience of working with Inclusion and particularly Saiba.

Well done on working hard with her and achieving what you have.

I will ensure that Saiba sees what you have posted as I am sure she will be as proud as I am.

Well done

Rach
