About: Children’s Services / HENRY programme

My health visitor signed me up for the Henry programme when I was feeling a bit worried about my parenting and dealing with my child's behaviours. I worked with Ciara and I found the course really good and had lots of information and techniques that I hadn't tried before.

Before I started the course I was a bit nervous but after the first 10 minutes in to it I felt relaxed and excited to continue on and it really encouraged me as a parent. This didn't only work with my younger child but it also worked with my teenage children and as a family as a whole -  it is something that I will continue to do everyday with my parenting.

I am now in my thirties but had my first child in my teens. I feel like this would really benefit anybody that is having there first child at any age but especially younger parents, I feel it would give them a lot more confidence and a sense of security before becoming a parent as it can be very scary.

I would recommend the Henry programme to anybody and I really feel it benefits the whole family.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such wonderful feedback on the Henry programme. I am delighted you felt comfortable and encouraged to keep attending each week.

The HENRY programme is a family partnership programme, it applies to everyone in the family, supporting healthier choices for all. I am so glad you felt this benefited not only your younger child but also your teenage children too.

At HENRY we support the whole family to make positive lifestyle changes, creating healthier and happier home environments, and building healthier communities.

Deliver HENRY programme, parenting programmes for sleep, toileting and behaviour, along with baby massage sessions. Review child's development at 6-9 months. Part take in community groups along side health visitors and other child health assistants.
