"The care and rehabilitation was excellent"

About: Edgware Community Hospital / Neurological Rehabilitation Centre Neurological Rehabilitation Centre / Inpatient Unit

(as the patient),

I had a stroke in Mexico in late 2023. I was in hospital there for 3 days before retuning to London. I was then admitted to the Royal Free Hospital where I stayed on the stroke ward for about 4 weeks. I was then transferred to Edgware for rehabilitation where I stayed for 6 weeks. I was discharged in March with a plan to live at home.

The care and rehabilitation was excellent and I wish to thank all the staff at the Edgware for their hard work and care. I am learning to talk and walk again. I made a lot of progress in rehab and am continuing this at home. I have felt very low since having the stroke but feel more determined to get back on my feet since returning home.
