"Spent a long time trying to find any record"

About: Glasgow Dental Hospital and School / Dental

(as a relative),

Ground floor reception failed to find any record of my wife being on any list, past or pending.  They spoke to a person who maintains the 7th floor (or is it 6th) student care list, they had no knowledge. On this basis they sent me to the 1st floor having suggested that perhaps our previous assessment visits must have been to another building entirely.

1st floor said she was not coming to them but found my wife's records and that she was on the system twice, one entry without her CHI number. They sent me to 7th floor reception. Went to the 7th, there is no reception on the 7th, I was directed to the 6th. Two staff spent a long time trying to find any record of my wife and failed, until something happened and they found it. They then called and eventually spoke to the exact same person we originally spoke to and were able to learn where my wife was on the waiting list. The exact same person. Why they now knew was a mystery.

My experience was like root canal treatment, appalling.

Dear redxt44,

I have been very disappointed to read about your recent visit to Glasgow Dental Hospital with your wife. Please accept my sincere apologies, this is not the experience we would wish for any of our patients, relatives or carers.

If you feel that you would like to discuss this further, please get in touch via my email below.

Kindest regards,

Fiona
