"A very seamless service from start to finish"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Day Surgery Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

My little girl recently had a hernia repair at NHS forth valley. This is her second repair, with the first carried out in Glasgow when she was 12 weeks old.

The care we received was amazing from start to finish from our first appointment with our GP (seen within an hour of noticing lump) to our first meeting with the consultant and everyone we met on the day.

The prospect of surgery is daunting and we were put at ease by the kind, caring and attentive staff.

The nurses were so helpful. The anaesthetist - Riyad - and his consultant - can't remember his name - were truly wonderful. Laughing and joking and making us feel at ease. The technique they used to put my daughter to sleep was brilliant and not traumatic at all.

Miss McIntosh again was fantastic. She explained everything well and was very attentive.

A very seamless service from start to finish with a happy child and happy parents. Well done everyone.
