After a traumatic heart attack at home and being rushed in by blue light ambulance and rapid response heart team, I was taken immediately into theatre for treatment then sent to ward 21 Ninewells hospital Dundee where I recuperated for the next 5 days.
The care was phenomenal and the staff were all so supportive. From ward orderlies often volunteers who dispensed tea & coffee to the room cleaners who were respectful but supportive in their own way.
The medical staff were heroes in my opinion not just professional in attitude and care but went the extra mile for the patients, I can only describe them as awesome.
Of the nursing staff, students Sky & Rebecca, Celia, Jillian, Ashley, Nimali, Claire, Orla, Stacy, Lynn, to name but a few. They made everything so easy for their patients and interacted with care and compassion when things were frightening in the first moments and with humour when things started to look more positive.
