"I felt so much better having shared my feelings. Thank you"

About: The Ulster Hospital / MacMillan Unit

(as a service user),

I was feeling somewhat overwhelmed with recent news. A relative, living in another country with huge distance separating us, had been diagnosed with cancer. A feeling of helplessness at the situation led me to wander into the MacMillan Cancer Information Centre. I didn’t really know what I wanted or, indeed, needed.

The volunteer, Margarita, was on hand to offer me a listening ear, water and tissues!  She listened to my story.  I felt so much better having shared my feelings.  Thank you. ☺️

Hi Shudderew88,

Thank you for posting such positive comments about our volunteer Margarita. We have let her know how her support helped you during your visit and she was surprised and delighted to hear about the difference she has made to your experience.

We are glad that she was there for you when you needed her.

Thanks,

Karen
