Getting a appointment at this practice is a mammoth task. In the last two weeks I have tired to make 3 appointments one for a small child - first appointmwnr week later second for myself week later and a third for a B12 injection which I used to have every 2 months at previous practice always on time on day which I could make even in the height of the Covid pandemic. Since moving to Holmes chapel practice this have never been on time and somehow they only do them every 3 months and only on a Wednesday with no flexibility after always having them on a Friday. You have to book via there system online which offers no way around the Wednesday you then have to phone up to being told only Wednesday you finally get a spy for a Friday already a week later than b12 is due efffecting health as it’s like it’s 1 month and a week over due. Then you get a text saying canceled with links to Wednesday appointments again this making it over two weeks over due.
You speak to the receptionists who are trained in finding no solutions or any shread of anything other than it’s the paicients fault. All they say is well we have offered you a appointment it’s on you if you can make it or not even though it’s 2 weeks later. No solutions offered no other days of the week are apparently available to book for a b12 for the whole of the next month on any other day. I asked if you could go to walk in our anywhere else to get a b12 they could offer no advise. I now have no appointment for the forseable. As a practice to be happy to offer a service where you leave paicents who are already struggling with no appointment even though it was the practice who canceled and advise it’s up to the patient to be flexible to be happy for patients to want to be at another surgery but can’t due to there postcode so are trapped with a service which isn’t helping them keep there help regulated.
In December last year I brought my sister to the surgery after a operation for dressing to be changed these were ripped off then advised she would need to provide her own stocking and as she hadn’t brought one to do it herself at home we tired to do this but blood was seeping out of the wounds over her leg so we ended up going to a&e this is unacceptable.
If we were able to move my family back to Ashfields in Sandbach I would be we can’t. We are young people I dread to think how the elderly find the service and the do it online so we give you no choices or help approach.
A very upset and exhausted patient who doesn’t make complaints lightly especially not for people who look after us however there comes a time when things have to be said and there’s is something not right when it’s like this.
All you get is well we offered you something!!! Is this really patient care
