"My care could not have been better anywhere"

I recently attended the rheumatology clinic in the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy because of inflammation and swelling in my limbs. 

I was seen briefly in clinic by the Rheumatologist but most of my consultation was with the Nurse Practitioner and a 3rd year student nurse.

Both these nurses were exceptional, they took time to explain everything to me in a pleasant manner. I know I can sometimes be a nightmare for asking questions about every single  procedure but they were very patient with me.

I had bloods taken also x-rays  and a steroid injection was given to help my pain. I was in hospital for about 3 hours but came away knowing exactly what the plan was for my treatment.

My care could not have been better anywhere. I am in my 70s and sometimes people can treat you differently because of your age but thankfully this did not happen at this clinic.  

Thank you to all members of staff in clinic  and I am quite sure that the student nurse who was  present will make an exceptional nurse, she had exactly the right manner to be a perfect nurse.
