I was diagnosed with MS in 2023. Dr McDougall the neurologist has been great and very helpful from arranging larger MRI scanners (as I'm claustrophobic) to trying different muscle relaxation drugs. I have never felt rushed or like a number,
The Lanarkshire MS Nurse service has also been extremely helpful and accommodating. Always pleasant and at times a very welcome sympathetic ear. They have always signposted and directed me and provided advice with compassion, professionalism and friendliness.
My GP, Dr Arnott of Burnbrae Practice, has also been fantastic. Her practice is under incredible pressure and has seen an increase of patients. Yet Dr Arnott has been most helpful.
MS is a difficult condition to accept and cope with. My journey with all NHS Lanarkshire professionals has been made as smoothly as it's possible within NHS constraints.
Thank you to everyone.
"Compassion, professionalism and friendliness"
