"Such a wonderful, kind and compassionate team"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Gynaecology (Ward 49)

(as the patient),

I have had to be cared for on 2 separate occasions on this ward recently and the staff here are amazing. Such a wonderful, kind and compassionate team that take care and get to know all of their patients and have such a lovely bedside manner.

Nothing is ever too much for anyone, whether it's the nurse in charge, the nurse looking after you (and the ones that aren't) and the auxiliaries, even when it's very evident that they are extremely busy.

Being in hospital for long periods of time is hard, but the staff have such a great upbeat manner for keeping the spirits up of all the patients and also know when you just need someone to listen and have a cry when you're feeling upset.

As much as it's difficult being an inpatient, I feel here that your needs and concerns are heard and you don't just feel like a number in a bed.
