I'd been having pain for 2 years with De Quaverains in my hand. In that time I'd moved from one health board to another. I'd had my first round of steroids and then moved to NHS Tayside. This caused a delay in my treatment which led to me having a bit of a wait again to see the consultant, which was unfortunate.
However from my first appointment with the ortho team, my care has been excellent. I was put on urgent surgery list and received my operation and excellent post surgery care. From the consultant to the physio team everyone was kind and caring. They made sure I was not in pain and had enough time to rest and recover.
