I want to share my story of recovery from alcohol addiction. I hope that my story can inspire and encourage others who are facing similar problems.
I started drinking alcohol when I was a teenager, as a way to cope with stress and fit in with my peers. I did not realize the harmful effects of alcohol on my body and mind, and I soon lost control over my drinking. I drank every day, sometimes from morning to night, and I felt powerless to quit. I neglected my health, work, and relationships. I lost my job, my friends, and start losing my family. I felt hopeless and alone, and I did not see any way out of my situation.
One day, I decided to contact CGL, a national health and social care charity that provides advice and support to anyone experiencing drug and alcohol addiction. I was welcomed by a friendly and professional team of staff and volunteers who listened to me and understood my situation. They offered me a personalised treatment plan that suited my needs and goals. They also connected me with peer and group support, where I met other people who were going through similar challenges and shared their experiences and advice.
Thanks to CGL, I have been able to reduce my alcohol intake and cope with my cravings and triggers. I have also improved my physical and mental health, and regained my confidence and self-esteem. I have reconnected with my family and friends, and found new hobbies and interests. I have completed a couple of training courses that have helped me find a new job and career in a different industry.
CGL has changed my life for the better, and I cannot thank them enough for their support and guidance. They have shown me that recovery is possible, and that I am not alone. I would highly recommend CGL to anyone who is facing drug and alcohol problems, and who wants to make a positive change in their life.
