"Exceptional care"

About: Arbroath Infirmary / Minor Injuries Arbroath Infirmary / X-rays and Scans Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

I am very grateful for the care I received when I had a fall in my house. The paramedics who attended, were fantastic and kindly arranged for me to be seen in my local minor injuries unit.

I was assessed quickly in the minor injuries department and had my head glued and returned the following day for an Xray. I received exceptional care from both the ambulance service and the staff in the Minor Injuries Unit at Arbroath Infirmary.

I would to pass on my sincere thanks to all the staff involved. We are so lucky to have this service in Angus.

Dear Balanceboardbabe

Thank you for sharing your story.

It must have been a very worrying time for you so I am glad to read that you are happy with the care you received.

If you would like me to trace the ambulance crew and pass on your thanks may I ask that you contact our Patient Experience Team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name, Care Opinion name and the address and date we attended.

I do hope you are feeling better now.

Kindest regards

David

Dear Balanceboardbabe

Thank you for sharing your lovely story about the care you had following your recent fall. Providing feedback really helps us to know what went well, and if there are any areas for improvement.

I’m sorry to hear you had a fall at home that required assistance from the ambulance service. It sounds like they did an excellent job and were also able to arrange an appointment for you to be seen in the Arbroath Minor Injuries unit. It’s so nice to hear that you received exceptional care. This is what we want for all our patients.

I hope your head wound is healing well and you’re recovering at home and fell better soon. I will share this kind post with the staff in minor injuries and we all wish you well in the future.

I also love your tag name of “Balanceboardbabe” hopefully it wasn’t the balance board you fell off of!

Take care

Anne Black
