After meeting the director of this service in November, I subsequently received the notes from the meeting, which stated I would have an appointment in February with a follow up call from a manager. The notes had been signed off by another director at the trust.
In late December I received a letter from the consultant along with blood test results, stating she was discharging me from her clinic. I responded to my notes within days, highlighting the consultant discharging me & the offer of the February appointment. I haven’t had any further information whatsoever from the department. I don’t know whether I’ve discharged from the department completely or am I now under the care of another consultant, as has happened previously. As it is now February & I’ve received no appointment - does it mean I now need a further referral from my GP (which would be the 4th one), or is it the case that I’m awaiting the appointment now for a further date with another consultant?
I’ve found the communication from this department to be very poor. It’s upsetting as I continue to endure severe on going pain, which is extremely debilitating.
