"Saying thank you"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Paediatrics North Devon District Hospital / Radiology (X-ray) North Devon District Hospital / Urology

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was recently referred to Urology after being kneed in the testicles 5 days previously and still having pain. We were then told to come back the next day to have a scan and go to The Caroline Thorpe Ward.

The staff in the ultrasound unit were fantastic with my son, so thank you to them.

Also thank you to the team on the Caroline Thorpe Ward, the nurses were absolutely amazing, my son had a very low heart rate and they carried out so many checks on him. I'm not sure what they thought about my son because he came across as really serious, although quite funny too in a way.

As we walked out he said how nice all the ladies were! We only went in for scan results (or so I thought) and seemed like we were setting up camp there, but honestly I cannot thank you all enough. You were all absolutely brilliant. Although walking past SCBU was a bit emotional for me as my son was born 9 weeks early and spent a whole month there after coming back from Taunton.

If you are able, please do pass my thanks on to all that helped us.

Good Morning CAJB,

Thank you for leaving feedback following you and your son's recent visit to the Radiology department, it is very much appreciated.

I am so pleased to hear your son had a positive experience whilst having a scan in our Ultrasound suite despite being in pain. I hope he is beginning to feel a lot better and that he makes a full recovery soon.

I will pass your lovely comments on to the sonographers and ultrasound team.

Once again thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Best wishes
