"The excellent teamwork that occurs when services are co-ordinated"

About: Ayrshire Central Hospital / Medical Oncology Ayrshire Central Hospital / X-rays & Scans General practices in Ayrshire & Arran

(as a service user),

I would like to take the opportunity to thank and highlight the excellent teamwork that occurs when services are co-ordinated across NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Commencing with a consultation by a very thorough GP, Dr Williams, I was referred to the Rapid Cancer Diagnostic service. I was triaged by an exceptionally caring and experience ANP, Leanne, who guided me through the next steps and co-ordinated all my assessments and follow up with professional knowledge and importantly kindness.

Investigations included a CT scan at Irvine central whereby I again met and was manged by exceptional staff Gemma radiologist, Caroline CT radiographer and Franca imaging assistant, all not only had professional knowledge and experienced cared about my concerns and comfort.

NHS staff often only hear the negative feedback when everyday they too are managing under pressure. Please share my gratitude and thanks to all the above staff and a wider thank you to the staff behind the scenes who make it possible particularly the RCDC project team.
