"Patient confidentiality"

About: Aberdeen Community Health Village / sexual health

(as a service user),

I was recently at Aberdeen Health Village to sign a pre-op consent form and give blood sample for tests before the op takes place. You will see all my previous stories were positive except this one.

I felt the reception staff are not warm enough and do not maintain patient's confidentiality as they asked what's your appointment about when the room is full of patients standing close to you.

They never apologised for keeping me waiting for an hour to see a doctor. The nurse also came to the waiting area and asked me to confirm date of birth after shouting for my name where lots of other people were sitting and watching us.

Dear Rumana,

Thank you for getting in touch with our service to provide this feedback.

I am very sorry to hear about your recent experience and would like to look into this further. Can I ask you to please contact me directly on gram.gshenquiries@nhs.scot to discuss this further so I can investigate this fully?

Many thanks,
