"CTAC nurse put me at my ease"

About: Fife Community Services / Community Treatment and Care (CTAC)

(as a service user),

I was advised by my GP that I needed bloods taken to, among other things, identify if I had a hereditary condition.

Having had cancer previously, and been ICU for a long stay, I was very nervous as I do not have good veins and have found getting blood taken painful at times. Therefore my BP was high.

I should not have worried, Fiona put me at my ease, chatted to me the whole time, explained in plain English what she was doing, and to my amazement hit a vein immediately and managed to get a full 4 phials of blood with no problem at all.

I am very impressed with this level of care from Whyteman's Brae surgery!
