"It should be a two-way communication"

About: Victoria Hospital / Outpatients

(as a service user),

Was told in December 2023 that I would be having fortnightly appointments. I have had two appointments since then in the fortnightly appointments that was agreed.

However, 3rd appointment has not been made, so yet again I phone to see when it was, to be told one had not been made, so I was then transferred to outpatient appointments, to be told that the appointments coordinator will be emailed and I would receive a call the next day.

This call yet again has not been made to myself. I am absolutely beyond words as it doesn't appear to matter what changes are planned, the same things are repeatedly happening. I find it disgusting that they expect patients to be the ones chasing everything up when it should be a two-way communication.

This is not my first time having to post about no return phonecalls from the Victoria hospital

Dear Time Waster

Thank you for providing your feedback about your experience in our Outpatients Department. I am sorry that you have not received confirmation of a date for your 3rd appointment or further communication from the appointments co-ordinator.

Would you please contact me over the phone or via email to advise which Outpatients Service to allow us to investigate this situation for you, theresa.rodigan1@nhs.scot or 01592 648154.

Kind regards

Theresa Rodigan
