"Fantastic Experience"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Elective Overnight Stay Centre/Gynaecology Ward Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I presented myself to A&E in Daisy Hill Hospital with a bleed after getting stitches removed at Craigavon Hospital earlier the same day. While waiting I received a call from Craigavon that I would have to return as my bloods showed up a really bad infection, but as I was already in Daisy Hill I decided to stay. I have really bad veins so it took over 10 attempts to extract blood as you can imagine this was really stressful. Everyone was fantastic in A&E, even though they were under extreme pressure.

I was moved up to the Gynaecology Ward and my experience was really good. The doctors were all excellent, I was kept well informed on my treatment and the liaised with external departments as this has been an ongoing issue. I would like to mention Rosin on nights and Anisha and Mel on days, these ladies made my stay in hospital away from my toddler more bearable.

On a negative note the food was a bit ropey, but in the grand scheme of things his was very minor.
