"A great bunch of staff, but noisy at night"

About: Cameron Hospital / Recovery & rehabilitation

(as the patient),

After being taken in pitch black from Kirkcaldy Hospital I landed at Cameron Hospital not knowing where I was. I was upset that night and the following day staff went out of their way to ensure I was OK and settled in so I thank them for that.

I was in Balgonie Ward for 8 weeks and all was good staff attentive and asked how I was etc. My only gripe which I mentioned whilst there was the lack of sleep due to staff chattering most of the night at normal day volume. Charge nurses listened to me and said they would ensure all staff were told.

Only one other moan was the food...something needs to be done...wastage is high.

Apart from that my stay was comfortable. Staff have a hard job and I fully empathise with them. They were a great bunch who made patients stay good.

Dear Lowd,

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your experience with us, and I hope you are recovering well too.

Lovely feedback for the team but do not your comments about the food and night shift noise, I will make sure our catering colleagues are aware and do know they are working on how to more effectively reduce food wastage. I will also raise the noise concerns with the team too.

Once again thank you for your feedback and wishing a speedy recovery, take care.

Dear Lowd

Firstly apologies for the delay in my response, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your stay in Balgonie Ward.

I am pleased to read that our team made your stay a good one, hopefully we were able to address the issue with the nightshift noise for you during your stay and for future patients within our ward.

I will pass on all your comments to the team and catering colleagues regarding the level of wastage.

Once again thank you for your feedback, we wish you well and take care.
